Focusing on New Missions

You’re invited to attend the first of our May Mission-Outreach focus groups between 9:30 am and 10:30 am on today at the East end of the Fellowship Hall. This focus group will consider Mt. Zion and individual roles in the stewardship of our environment. Join us for 5 minutes or as long as you wish to share your ideas and aspirations.

Today’s Special Communion Offering

Our annual Peace with Justice offering goes to address issues such as justice for oppressed peoples, equal opportunity access to health care, education, clean air and water, fair living wages, safe communities, and a world without war. Please donate generously to support the United Methodist Church's efforts to achieve Christ's message of peace and justice.

Pastor Kim to be Ordained on May 24

Mt. Zion would like to take a bus trip to support Kimberly Hall’s ordination. Mt. Zion played a large role in Kim’s call to ministry and in her journey to become ordained as an Elder in the United Methodist Church. Likewise, Kim was instrumental in Mt. Zion’s growth and spirituality. Please join us for an opportunity to fellowship and show our continued support for one of our Pastors. The ordination ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 24, at 2:30 pm at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center, 201 Waterfront Street, National Harbor, MD 20745. There is a sign-up sheet in the West Narthex. For more information, please contact Hugh Cameron at 301-725-1478.
