Dr. Thomas N. Connar
Senior Minister

Dr. Connar was appointed as Senior Pastor in 1998. Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio University, a Master of Divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Wesley. Before serving Mt. Zion, Tom served Catonsville UMC for six years, Tom served Brook Hill UMC, Wesley Grove UMC, Loch Raven UMC and Salem UMC. Over the years Tom has participated in numerous conference activities including the Conference Division of Worship, the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry and District Committees on Ministry. His focus and goal is “To lead others to grow in their discipleship, so they can go make disciples of Jesus Christ”. Tom is married to Meredith and they have three grown children.


Reverend Kimberly Hall

Rev. Kimberly Hall

Rev. Kimberly Hall was born in Washington, D.C. on July 28, 1972 and was raised by her parents William and Alvera Hall in the suburbs of Maryland. She has one younger sister. Kim is a graduate of Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she received her Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Mass Communications. She later attended Howard University where she received her Master of Fine Arts degree in Film.

After a long struggle with a call on her life, (she at first tried to ignore) Kim submitted to the will of God and answered her call to enter the ordained ministry. Just recently she completed her studies as a student at Wesley Theological Seminary where she earned and obtained her Master of Divinity degree.
