Located in Howard County, Maryland, Mount Zion United Methodist Church has been serving the communities of Highland, Fulton, and Columbia for over 140 years.
We celebrate our heritage; we’re not bound by it. We’re building on the fact that God is a God of endless possibilities and opportunities.
We are community of faith striving to know and do God’s will.
Why not come and join us, God has great things in store for us!

Rev. Kim Hall will be ordained as as an Elder in the United Methodist Church on May 24th. Kim served as Mt. Zion's associate pastor from 2004 until 2007, and was instrumental in the church's growth and spirituality.
Please join us for an opportunity to show our continued support for Rev. Hall. Mt. Zion would like to organize a bus trip to Kimberly Hall’s ordination ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, May 24, at 2:30 pm at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center, 201 Waterfront Street, National Harbor, MD 20745. You can sign-up online, or use the sign-up sheet in the West Narthex. For more information, please contact Hugh Cameron at 301-725-1478.

The Rev. Dr. W. Kenneth “Ken” Lyons will retire on June 1, 2008 after 39 years of ministry. Rev. Lyon served as the senior pastor at Mount Zion UMC from 1991 until 1998.
On June 1st, Rev. Lyons will be preaching during the 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. services at Severna Park United Methodist Church, located at 731 Benfield Road, Severna Park, Maryland 21146. Additionally, there will be a reception for Ken and his wife, Donnelle, that day from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall.
