Music, Worship, and Praise

Audio-Visual Team
The Audio-Visual Team provides sound and video projection support to all three Sunday worship services at Mt. Zion, as well as to other events as needed (weddings/performances/funerals, etc.).  The audio team sets up the sanctuary for the sound requirements for each service, checks the quality of the various microphones, and operates the sound board during the services, selecting and adjusting appropriate microphones. Upon request, this team will also create an audio CD of the service.  The video team is tasked with creating PowerPoint files for each service, downloading and setting up the files for display, and actually manning the computer in the A/V booth to display the files.  This team also will set up and display special audio/visual requirements, e.g. YouTube video, DVD files, etc.  Future plans for the A/V team include videotaping worship services so that they can be viewed by members of the congregation that are shut-in, or otherwise cannot attend the service.
No special requirements/skills are needed to be a part of this team; training, both offline and on-the-job will be provided.

Childrens Choir
Kid's ages 3 years old to fifth graders are brought together to sing and dance at 9:15am every sunday!  The children's choir sings every 5th Sunday, VBS Sunday, and other special occasions.
Chancel Bell Choir
The Chancel Ringers bell choir will resume rehearsals for the fall season in early September. We would be happy to see some new people join our fellowship and support the worship at Mt. Zion. If you can read music, we can teach you to play hand bells. We currently have 11 ringers, but we are not able to use all the available bells. New members are always needed. We generally play about once a month at Sunday worship services. Please call the bell choir director, Bob Greiner, for more information.
Meets Wednesday 6:45 – 7:45 PM in the Sanctuary
 Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is made up of a dedicated group of folks who love to make a "joyful noise".  You do not have to read music or audition to join.  You just have to love music and love to sing.  Our rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:45 to 9:00 PM in the Sanctuary.
The Chancel Choir sings weekly for the 9:00 AM service, presenting a wide range of anthems from the classics to spirituals and contemporary pieces. The choir often sings large-scale choral works with orchestra or instrumental chamber ensemble, during the Christmas and Easter seasons.  The choir is comprised of approximately 30 members, and we welcome all who enjoy singing and would like to share in this vital ministry. This choir is led by Mark Dubbs.
Meets Wednesday, 7:45pm in the Sanctuary
