Ted and Connie Gull
Ted and Connie live in Columbia (Hopewell/Owen Brown). Dr. Gull is an astrophysicist with NASA/GSFC, while Connie is a registered nurse employed at Howard County General Hospital as a Perioperative Systems Administrator. Connie is completing a program at Wesley Theological Seminary in the Parish Nurse Program.
Ted enjoys science, education ministry, Native American education, and woodwork, while Connie enjoys travel, photography, reading, and needle arts (knitting, cross stitch). Both enjoy their grandchildren.
Ted and Connie transfer their memberships from Christ UMC in Columbia. They usually attend the 8:30 am worship service. Betty Cashmark is their church sponsor.
Sanford and Bettye Ames
Sanford and Bettye live with their three children Sanford/Trey, 16, Schuyler, 12, and Sebastian, 10, in Dayton (Woods of Tridelphia Ridge). Sanford is a Vice President of Comcast, and Bettye supervises the home and family. Her interests include gardening and sewing.
They transfer their memberships from Creekwood UMC in Allen, TX. They have been attending the 10:45 am Contemporary Service. Jerry and Marie Perlet are their church sponsors.
John Crow
John lives with his daughter Kristin, 16, in Columbia (Hobbits Glen). John is president and owner of his own software sales company. He enjoys singing, golf, and tennis.
John usually attends the 10:45 am Contemporary Service where he sings with the Praise Team. He transfers his membership from Bethany UMC, Ellicott City. His church sponsor is Katie Cathcart.
Julia Borchers
Julia lives with her children Eric, 16, and Lauren, 10, in Columbia (King's Contrivance). Julia enjoys running and traveling.
She joins by Confession of Faith after being baptized today. Julia usually attends the 10:45 am Contemporary Service. Her church sponsor is Katie Cathcart.
Alex Lionikis
Alex lives in Columbia 21044. Alex is interested in firefighting, EMS, and paramedic work. He is currently studying at Howard Community College to pursue a career in fire and safety.
Alex began attending MtZ at the invitation of his friend Thomas Snowden, and he has become involved with the youth program. He usually attends the 8:30 am worship service. Alex comes from the Greek Orthodox Church, and joins MtZ by Affirmation of Faith. Aly King is his church sponsor.
Isaac and Grace Ajayi
Isaac and Grace live with their three children Tobi, 13, Toyin, 11, and Tomi, 4, in Highland. Isaac is a physician (internist) who has his own practice, as well as serving in the emergency room at Union Memorial Hospital. Grace is a registered nurse serving as a Clinical Manager.
Having been involved for a long time in another church close to where they used to live, they have decided to join by Reaffirmation of Faith at MtZ. They usually attend the 11:00 am worship service. Kurt and Erin Island are serving as their church sponsors.

Patricia Bytnar
(Dec 17) Patty lives with her husband Brad in Laurel. Patty is currently a specialist with Verizon. Her interests include horse back riding and going to the movies.
Patty usually attends the 8:30 am worship service and has attended for a couple of months. Her sister Pam Wilburn is serving as Patty's church sponsor. Patty is joining by Reaffirmation of Faith.

Andrea Smolen
Andrea lives with her husband Craig, and their daughters Elizabeth, 4, and Caroline, 6 months, at 11345 Bishops Gate Lane, Laurel 20723. Craig owns a couple of car dealerships where Andrea used to work in the finance department. Now, she is a full time mother overseeing the home and children. Her interests include reading and bowling.

Betty lives at 3178 Elmmede Road, Ellicott City 21042. She was married to her husband Fred until he passed away last year. Betty is retired, and she has been a part of the church women's circles for about eight years.

Damon and Dawn Smith
Damon and Dawn live with their sons Vincent, 5, and Grant, 7 months, at 6436 Empty Song Road, Columbia (Riverhill) 21044. Damon is a consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton. Dawn is a dental hygienist with Dr. Henry Lee. While Damon enjoys sports in general, both enjoy skiing.

Scott and Michelle Miller
Scott and Michelle live with their children Cole, 11, and Shyanne in Highland, MD.. Scott has his own business as a contractor, and Michelle manages the household and helps with Scott's business. He enjoys home repair and woodworking, and she enjoys gardening.
Scott and Michelle and family have been attending Mount Zion for a number of years. She has helped with Vacation Bible School. Their church sponsor is Jennifer D'Asto, and they are joining by Confession of Faith.

Katherine Tavakolian
Kate lives with her husband Hamid and their daughter Elizabeth, 16, in Highland, MD. Kate is a staff development coordinator at Montgomery County Public Library.
Kate has been attending Mount Zion for over a year. Her church sponsors are also her neighbors, Rob and Carol Messerly. Kate grew up in the Disciples of Christ Church, and joins Mount Zion by Reaffirmation of Faith.

Mark and Valerie Keeley
Mark and Valerie live with their sons Justin, 8, and Ryan, 5 in Elkridge, MD. As a family they enjoy the beach and camping. Mark is a traffic consultant and Valerie has been a Howard County Public School teacher.
Valerie (nee: Holweck) grew up at Mount Zion and is an alumnus of the Trinity Youth Choir. Mark's background is Roman Catholic. They join by Reaffirmation of Faith. Their church sponsors are Bill and Carolyn Powell.
