The Mt. Zion Shepherding Program is a network of Christian friends ready to help each other as needed. Its goal is to provide a wonderful opportunity for our congregation to be well connected and to provide care as we build a "community of faith". Its vision is that members will always feel that they have a line of communication open to the church at all times. Shepherding members keep the pastors informed of special needs and situations and can serve as a prayer/information network.
1) Aimed at getting responsible members in touch with fellow members in need of support;
2) Concerned with developing and maintaining strong relationships within our congregation; Intended to pass on to our pastors such information as they may need to provide for the deeper spiritual needs of members of the congregation.
The Shepherding Program is the responsibility of the Evangelism Committee who, together with the pastor, will provide for its organization and ongoing support. If you have questions or comments, please contact Betty Cashmark or Jackie Melonas of the Evangelism Committee. Or, contact one of the pastors through the church office [(301) 854-2324 or (410) 531-5173)].
