Pastor Daniel Mejia
Pastor Daniel Mejia is a native of Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. He came to the U.S. as a United Methodist lay missionary in 1995 to serve Hispanic migrant workers in Valdosta, Georgia. In 1997 he attended seminary at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. to pursue a Master of Divinity. In 2001 he graduated and in 2004 he was ordained as an Elder in Full Connection in the United Methodist Church. Pastor Daniel has served congregations in Northern Virginia and Maryland. He was appointed as Mt. Zion's pastor on July 1, 2020. He is married to the Rev. Michelle Mejia, an Ordained Elder serving a United Methodist Church in College Park, MD. Together they have two little ones, Eli and Eva. Pastor Daniel is an avid soccer fan who also loves The Nationals, Capitals, and the Washington Commanders.
