Mt. Zion Christian Preschool

Mt. Zion Christian Preschool, located in Howard County, Maryland, was established in 1989 as a mission of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Mt. Zion Christian Preschool strives to assist each child to realize his or her maximum potential in the areas of social, cognitive, physical, emotional, and spiritual development.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum includes learning about God’s word through prayer and stories. Early literacy and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts are taught through science, math, and social studies activities, and learning about shapes, colors, numbers, and letters. Daily activities include circle time, singing, art, gross motor activities, learning centers, and snacks.

 

Learning Through Play

We play a lot. We believe that play is an important part of learning. When children play with purpose, they learn about themselves and the world around them. During our play time, children make friends, learn social skills, look at books, use building materials, share, explore how things work, listen to music, and play cooperatively.

Our Staff

Our staff at Mt. Zion Christian Preschool are certified in first aid and CPR. In addition, they participate in ongoing professional development through classes, workshops, and conferences throughout the year.

Mt. Zion Christian Preschool is also a nondenominational preschool. This means we welcome children from all religious affiliations. We do not discriminate based on race, sex, religion, color, national, or ethnic origin.

Our MSDE License number is 43250.

 

2024/2025 Application Form

Classes Offered for the 2024-2025 Preschool Year:

  • 2 day 2 year old Class - Tues/Thur -9:30 am - 11:30 am, Tuition:  $216.00 monthly

  • 3 day 3 year old Class - Mon/Wed.Fri - 9:30 am  - 12:30 pm, Tuition:  $395.00 monthly

  • 4 day Pre-K Class - Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri - 9:30 am - 1:30 pm, Tuition:  $570.00 monthly
